Saarth Shrimath Daasbodh

This issue is a very special one!!!!! Being our Guruji Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar’ s birthstar we are dedicating this Guru Mahima to Him.

Sathguru and His works are unsurpassed. One can never analyse the power and strength of a Sathguru. Sathguru is matchless. When Bagawan Himself is not equal to a Sathguru then how come the nature be compared with Him!!! Everything is inferior in front of a Sathguru.

In “Saarth Srimath Daasbodh”, a Sathguru is compared with all possible things, which are universal but ultimately it concludes that a Sathguru is beyond comparison. Who can describe the significance of a Sathguru? If Bagawan Himself is bounded as per the words of a Sathguru then who could stand equal in comparison of HIM (sathguru)?

In the seventeenth sloka a Sathguru is compared with an ocean. Sathguru’s mercy is vast like an ocean. Infact Ocean comes to an end at the time of saga but the mercy of a Sathguru is everlasting. The Sathguru and His disciple are soul related and their bond can never be destroyed. Though a Sathguru may be vast like an ocean, He can never be salty (bitter) like it. His sweetness can never be described.

Such is the greatness of our Guruji, Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar!!!

The eighteenth sloka says that even the mountain named Meru is not worthy to be compared with a Sathguru. The mountain is lifeless and hard but a Sathguru is a true living sanctity and softhearted. Even if the Sathguru is physically present with us or not, we can always feel His sanctity with us.

This is our Guruji, Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar, though He is softhearted His power and strength is immeasurable!!!

In the twentieth sloka Sathguru is compared with earth. To say that a Sathguru is fearless, suave and supreme like an earth is not proper. A Sathguru is even beyond this!!! At the time of saga the whole universe gets destructed, but a sathguru is indestructive and inviolate. He remains forever and ever. Hence this comparison is also inadequate.

Even our Guruji Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar  is indestructive and inviolate.

Even the nectar cannot be compared with a sathguru, says the 24th sloka. The demi gods in the heaven have a prolonged but not a permanent life. Though they drink the nectar their life too comes to an end at some point of time. Only for namesake they are said to be ever living. In real and actual sense, those who are blessed with the shower of Sathguru’s grace are said to be everlasting. Hence this comparison is false.

The same way our Guruji Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar showers His grace on everyone, which is endless.

The whole universe being destructive is not worthy to be compared with a sathguru. Sathguru remains forever and hence this materialistic world is incomparable with a sathguru. The work performed even by the five elements i.e. sky, water, earth, fire and air is inferior in comparison to the work performed by a Sathguru.

Hence our Guruji Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar is the Supreme One and none of the wordly things seems to be worthy to be compared with our Guruji.

The last sloka finally reveals that due to all the above reasons the importance of a Sathguru cannot be described. ‘Trying to describe a sathguru and not able to describe Him itself is the actual description of a Sathguru.’ Only those who have realized Him from within can understand a Sathguru. The jeevaathmaas (souls), which have experienced the true bliss of a Sathguru, can only know to what extent a Sathguru is precious in their lives!!

The only thing, which we feel for our Guruji is,

“Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar is indefinable!!!!!”

ACHYUTHA PRIYAA

'short stories to regain your faith'

Radhekrishna!!!! Life is worthless without Bagawan Krishna. If we have all the worldly things except Bagawan Krishna then life has no meaning and it is equal to a void life. But if we have Bagawan Krishna other than all the worldly things then surely this life is contented and complete. Bagawan Krishna is ever ready to shower HIS divine grace on us. The only thing required is blind faith and extreme crave to attain HIM!!!

Mauji had blind faith in the Brahmin’s words and extreme crave to see Bagawan Krishna. When mauji told the Brahmin that he had tied Bagawan Krishna, the Brahmin was not ready to accept; Mauji forced the Brahmin to come, still he refused. Finally Mauji lifted that Brahmin and took him to the place where he had tied Bagawan Krishna but the brahmin couldn’t see anyone around except the tree and the rope.

Mauji kept on repeating that if he could see Bagawan Krishna, then how come the Brahmin is unable to see HIM? Mauji even described the beauty of Bagawan Krishna by saying that HIS eyes, hands and legs are red like lotus. This is the beauty of Bagawan Krishna, which can be felt, described and experienced by anyone and everyone be it a layman, a small child or great bhakthaas!!! But nobody can express it but everyone could surely feel it!!! In Sree Krishnakarnaamrutham Sri Leelasugar says:

Madhuram Madhuram Vapurasya Vibho:
Madhuram Madhuram Vadhanam Madhuram
Madhugandhi Mrudusmitha Methadaho
Madhuram Madhuram Madhuram Madhuram.

Meaning

The body of Bagawan Krishna is very attractive. HE always has a sweet smiling face. (The smile, which is sweeter than honey, and incomparable.) Bagawan Krishna is the most beautiful; the only thing we can say is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful and beautiful. No one could ever define HIS beauty!!!

Though Mauji was an innocent person, when he saw Bagawan Krishna; he could also describe the beauty of Bagawan Krishna in his own words. Still the Brahmin did not believe his words. The Brahmin tried his level best to see Bagawan Krishna but he couldn’t. Hence he thought that Mauji was crazy and to escape from there, he lied that “Yes, it is Bagawan Krishna”. Mauji being overjoyed was now very sure that it is Bagawan Krishna and thanked the Brahmin. The Brahmin left the place.

Mauji looked at Bagawan Krishna with full of excitement and enthusiasm. At that time Bagawan Krishna opened HIS lotus like lips and with HIS beautiful soothing voice said, “Now do you believe I am Bagawan Krishna, then untie me!!!” Immediately Mauji untied Bagawan Krishna. Bagawan Krishna looked at Mauji and gave a naughty smile. HE asked, “Do you know the reality?” Mauji innocently asked, “What”? Bagawan Krishna replied, “Actually the Brahmin did not see me. He lied because he wanted to escape from you. Mauji was surprised to hear that the Brahmin had actually lied. Being astonished Mauji asked, “Then how come I could see you?” Bagwan Krishna replied, “Bounded by your devotion and crave I appeared in front of you. “Tell me what do you want?” Mauji replied very spontaneously, “Nothing, I am satisfied with whatever I have.”

Still Bagawan Krishna was not satisfied. He wanted to shower His blessings on Mauji. This is Bagawan Krishna, the ocean of mercy. Mauji did not know anything about Bagawan Krishna. He just tried whatever the Brahmin said. Just for such little effort Bagwan Krisna appeared in front of Him. So if we pray with true love, devotion, sincerity, dedication and thirst; Bagawan Krishna will do wonders!!! He just knows to shower His grace in plenty.

When Bagawan Krishna asked Mauji as to what he wanted, Mauji replied, “Can I touch you once?” To this Bagawan Krishna gave a very graceful smile and said, “Yes, my child”. Immediately Mauji went and touched Bagawan Krishna’s cheeks. Suddenly he experienced a mild lightening within himself, which produced great happiness from within which he had never experienced before.

Bagawan Krishna was still not satisfied and said, “What else do you want?” Mauji replied, “Now I am happy and contented. I don’t want anything.” But Bagawan Krishna was also not ready to accept this. HE insisted Mauji to ask for more. Such is the greatness of Bagawan Krishna. Mauji said, “Whenever I would close my eyes and hold the breath you should appear in front of me.” Bagawan Krishna was very happy to listen this and said, “Yes my child, whenever you do this I would be in front of you.” Then Mauji again politely said, “I want one more thing.” Bagawan Krishna curiously asked, “Yes, yes tell me what else do you want?” See how eager is Bagawan Krishna to shower HIS blessings on everyone!!! Mauji said, “Even though the Brahmin lied, somehow or the other I got to see you only because of him. So whenever the Brahmin would close his eyes and hold his breath you should appear in front of him too.

Hearing this, tears rolled down from Bagawan Krishna’s eyes. Being greatly touched by Mauji’s thoughts, Bagawan Krishna embraced him. The very same hug of Bagawan Krishna made Mauji feel very happy, contented and relaxed. Then Bagawan Krishna disappeared. To test whether Bagawan Krishna appears or not, Mauji held his nose and closed his eyes. Immediately Bagawan Krishna appeared in front of him and asked, “What happened?” Mauji replied, “I just wanted to see whether you appear or not.” Bagawan Krishna gave a mischievous smile and disappeared once again.

The next day the Brahmin as usual went near the riverside to perform his daily rituals. He closed his eyes and held his breath. He couldn’t believe his eyes as Bagawan Krishna was standing in front of him. The Brahmin in pride thought that, “What a devotion I have!” But immediately Bagawan Krishna replied, “Don’t be under the misconception that I appeared because of your devotion. Do you remember once a young boy named Mauji had tied me along with a tree and asked you to recognize me? You lied that you saw me. With true devotion he requested me that every time you perform this ritual I should appear in front of you also” and so I appeared now.

Hearing this the Brahmin realized his mistake. After few months, the Brahmin and Mauji met coincidentally. Both were very happy to see each other. At that time Mauji immediately fell at the Brahmin’s feet and thanked him. The Brahmin was shocked to see this. Mauji said, “Because of you Bagawan Krishna gave me the darshan.” Immediately Brahmin fell at Mauji’s feet and said, “No, no it’s only because of you I got to see Bagawan Krishna.” Both of them thanked and hugged each other. They both became the bhakthas of Bagawan Krishna and from then onwards spread Krishna Bhakthi to the whole world.

'the power of divine grace'

‘JAY SHREE RADHEKRISHNA’

‘JAY SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA’

"JAY MAHAN BRAHMASHRI GOPALAVALLIDASAR"

Radhe Krishna first of all I would like to offer my whole-hearted namaskarams at the lotus feet of my Guruji “Mahan Brahmashri Gopallavallidasar”

I would like to share with you all the experience which I and my husband experienced only due to the divine grace of our Sathguru. On 24th December 2004 my husband planned a short trip to Kanyakumari. We both left Trivandrum on 25th December 2004 morning and reached Kanyakumari within some hours time. We managed to get a room in such a hotel from where we could have a very close view of sea. On 25th evening we went to Vivekananda rock by boat through the fairly rough sea. We enjoyed a lot. Next day on 26th December 2004 we decided to leave Kanyakumari in the morning as we had plans of going to visit the Padmanabha Puram Palace near Thakkalai.

We had our breakfast, had a final view and enjoyed the beauty of the calm and quiet sea and then proceeded to the bus stop. Actually we were not aware about the details of the bus, which would take us to Thakkalai. We enquired with the traffic police and he showed us the bus stop and gave us the details of the bus. As we were nearing the bus stop exactly the bus, which we wanted, had arrived. We ran and by Krishna’s grace got the bus. What else can we call this except Krishna's grace!! It was 9.55 a.m. when we left Kanyakumari.

We reached Thakkalai and then by autorickshaw we went to Padma Nabha Puram Palace within some 1-2 hours time . I was very eager to see this palace, as I knew that my Guruji had visited this palace just a few months back. So I considered myself to be very much blessed and lucky. We had a great time inside the palace. By the time we came out we were feeling hungry. We went inside a nearby restaurant to have our lunch.

We were about to finish our lunch, the waiter came near my husband and asked him where we are planning to go after that. He asked whether we were planning to go to Kanyakumari or had we already been there. My husband said that we were coming back from Kanyakumari. Then he asked us when we left Kanyakumari and whether there were any problem when we left. We told him that we left Kanyakumari in the morning by around 9.55 a.m. and there was no problem. The waiter was shocked and to our surprise he narrated the incident that took place in Kanyakumari at 10.45 a.m. the disastrous “Tsunami”.  We were surprised by the news of the Tsunami, the disaster that had created a terrible panic among all.

By then only we realized that some disaster has occurred in Kanyakumari but we were not knowing the intensity of it as we lacked the correct information. It was without knowing all these things that we were just enjoying every second of our trip and the beauty of the palace. So the very next minute we started trying out the numbers of our relatives to inform them about our safety. But none of the landlines were working. At that very same moment only one person could contact us and that was our Guruji and we received a call from HIS mobile to my husband's mobile. We informed Him about our safety.

By now the news of Tsunami had spread like fire and we knew that it would be difficult for us to get any bus to Trivandrum.  But we had a faith that Krishna who saved our lives from Tsunami would surely help us to get a bus. Really by Guru Kripay we got a bus within few minutes and reached Trivandrum safely and comfortably. As soon as we reached our house we started getting phone calls from our relatives and friends. Many of our neighbours had gathered to see whether we had reached safely or not. Everyone who saw us asked us about Kanyakumari and Tsunami only. The restlessness of our relatives before seeing us and the sigh of relief, which passed through them on seeing us made us realize that Krishna has rescued our lives from the mouth of death. Then we switched on the Television set. It was at that time only we both were extremely shocked. Krishna! What a disaster! We realized the intensity of the disaster at that time only. We were further shocked when we came to know that this disaster had taken place within a time gap of just an hour after we left Kanyakumari. Our Guru Krupay and namajapam saved our lives.

This practically proved to us the real power of namajapam. Really Krishna had showered a great Krupay on us He kept us totally unaware about such a happening and made us enjoy our trip to the fullest extent. It was only our Guru Krupay, which saved us. Our hotel was very close to the sea and delay in leaving the room would have costed us our lives.

Actually our previous plan was to go to a Hanuman temple at Suchindhram, a place at a distance of nearly half an hour from Kanyakumari. But we were informed at the hotel reception that some uthsavam (Ratha yatra) was going on and it would be difficult for us to get even the darshan of Hanuman due to the huge crowd. So we decided to skip that plan and decided to visit Padmanabha Puram palace. In fact it was Krishna who moulded our minds to visit Padmanabha Puram palace, a place which Krishna felt was much more safe and secured for HIS children. If we would have gone to Suchindhram, then we would have no doubt suffered and faced a great difficulty in returning due to the panic and fear which would have spread among the people and expected crowd in bus due to rescue operations at Kanyakumari. It was only due to our plan of visiting Padmanabha Puram palace that we checked out of our hotel room even before our normal check out time. Krishna induced us to do so.

Sathsangs by Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar

The Mumbai devotees enjoyed the sathsang by Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar. The sathsang on Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu melted everyones heart. Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar explained it so nicely that even twenty days was not enough to complete the charitram of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Until now Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has taken sanyasam. Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar will continue the remaining charitram in September. The Mumbai devotees are keenly waiting to listen to the remaining charitram of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

The sathsang on Brindavana Mahimai was very innovative. Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar explained the greatness of Brindavan by describing a bhaktha charitram and a Krishna leela. Everyone desired to have the humbleness, which Brindavan devi had towards Bagawan Krishna.

The mulund devotees were fortunate to hear the sathsangs on various bhakthaas by Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar. The sathsang on bhaktha Hanuman was very joyful. Everyone wished to have such a crave to do service to Guru. The sathsang on Meerabai was very emotive. She was not moved by any odd situation. The words of Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar were so inspiring that He motivated everyone not to give up in any odd situation like Meera. Everyone urged to be a gopi like bhaktha Meera.

All the devotees became very joyous by listening to the thirudan and bagawathar story. He described the beauty of Bagawan Krishna almost more than ten times. The description was so effective that everyone wished to see Bagawan Krishna. Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar explained it in such a simple manner that even a small child could understand it.

On the last day short stories about various bhakthas was told by Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar. The bottom line of all the stories was to have unconditional faith in Bagawan Krishna and His naamasankeerthanam. The sathsang was so motivating that everyone got a belief that “kaththina kaapatharthuku kichcha payal irukkan”(when you scream for help kichcha{Krishna}is there to save you.)

The further sathsangs on Swami Ramanuja Vaibhavam and Bagawath Geetha(bhakthi yogam) were held in Vasai. Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar explained the aacharya bhakthi, which Swami Ramanujar had for Thirukoshtiyur Nambi. Not only that even the sishyaas of Swami Ramanujar had a great aacharya bhakthi for Him. Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar will continue the remaining Swami Ramanuja Vaibhavam in His next trip. The sathsang on bhakthi yogam was very impressive Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar said that Bagawan Krishna is so humble that HE HIMSELF teaches us how to do bhakthi. In the bhakthi yogam Bagawan Krishna has explained various ways by which we can attain HIM. Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar also explained the virtues o bahkthas who are very dear to Bagawan Krishna. He insisted everyone to do bhakthi.

On May 7th Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar left to Bangalore. Mahan Brahma Shri Gopalavallidasar will return on May 13th from Bangalore. From May 13th to May 19th sathsangs will be held at various devotees’ places. From May 20th to June 1st sathsang by Shree Poojya Shree Shree Amma will be held at various devotees places.

SHRADHAARPANAM

our wholehearted dedications

Swami Mudaliandan is born to his parents  Sri Ananthanarayana Diskshithar and  Nachhiaramma as  "Dasarathi" on the  Chaithra Punarvasu Nakshatra day as the Amsa of Lord  Sri Rama himself.

Sri Mudaliandan was the foremost among the Seventy Four Simhasanadhipathis instituted by Swami Ramanuja  thus conferring upon him the title Vadhulakula Tilaka.

Swami Ramanuja had a very intimate attachment for Swami Mudaliandan which was expressed by Swami Ramanuja himself many a times.

Even at the time when he embraced Sanyasasrama Swami Ramanuja renounced everything except Swami Mudaliandan.

Just imagine the guru bhakthi of sri mudhaliandaan.

Swami Mudaliandan is known to be the Thridhandam [sacred Stick] and Paduka [Divine footwear] of Swami Ramanuja.

When Ramanuja went to North India to compile the work of Brahma Sutra, he sought Namperumal’s approval to leave Srirangam temple’s activities in the hands of Dasarathi, sri mudhaliandaan. Namperumal willingly consented to this and instructed Ramanuja to spread the message of Srivaishnavism in all directions.

Andaan too meticulously took great care and interest of the activities of Srirangam temple and handled Srikarayam, Thiru meni upacharam and thirupuvana upacharam .

It is said that once Udaiyavar, directed Andan just to step into the waters of the local pool and come out. The villagers are said to have unknowingly been converted to gentle ways by imbibing the pool-water sanctified by the washing of Andan's feet (SrIpada-tIrtham).

That is why, even today, in Mudalinadan Thirumaligai, Sripada Theertham is administered to even those who has have not obtained Pancha Samaskaram.
